Answers and guidance to help you through every step
As a funeral celebrant I create and lead a personalised funeral ceremony that reflects the life, values and wishes of your loved one. As an independent funeral celebrant, I work with families to write and deliver a meaningful service that feels right for them.
Yes. I specialise in non-religious and faith-neutral funeral ceremonies, as well as services that include spiritual or cultural elements if requested. We discuss all your needs at our meeting
Your ceremony is written individually. I ensure the personalisation can include photos music, readings, poems, personal tributes, prayers, hymns and contributions from family or friends.
I conduct funerals at crematoria, burial grounds, woodland burial sites, and other suitable venues across Mid Cheshire and surrounding locations. Other areas can be accommodated but may incur travelling costs
Yes. We will have a meeting — in person, by phone or online — to talk through your wishes and gather everything needed to create the ceremony.
Yes. Family and friends are welcome to speak, read or participate in the ceremony if this is what you wish. As we work together to develop the service we will ensure they are included. This will ensure we fit within the time available. I can also read tributes on your behalf if that feels more comfortable.
Most funeral ceremonies last between 20 and 30 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the venue and your wishes. This can be discussed with your funeral director to ensure the service meets your needs. This ensures we are able together to write the service you want
Yes. Delivering the service you need we all work closely together. I work closely with funeral directors to ensure the ceremony fits smoothly within the arrangements and runs calmly on the day.
Fees are discussed clearly and openly and are within the website. Please get in touch for current pricing or to ask any questions — there is no obligation.
You can contact me by phone or email for an initial conversation. Your Funeral Director will also support you to ensure you have the right celebrant for your service and needs. This is simply a chance to talk through your needs and see if I’m the right celebrant for you.
You don't need a celebrant; however, it can help give structure and meaning to a scattering of ashes by leading a short ceremony that reflects the life, values, and wishes of the person who has passed away. I can offer comforting words, readings, or moments of reflection, helping you feel supported and creating a respectful shared way to say goodbye.
This is the placing of the ashes into a permanent resting place, such as a grave urn plot, columbarium, or memorial garden. It provides family and friends with a location where they can visit, remember, and pay their respects.
Many people are choosing direct cremation today, and families and friends still want to celebrate their loved one’s life. It is a memorial event that focuses on honouring and remembering a loved one's life. It's usually less formal than a funeral and highlights memories, stories, music, and moments that reflect who they were. It can be held in any setting and at any time.
Get in touch for a free, no-obligation conversation about your ceremony. I'd love to hear your story.
